Baja bed

We have been going to Baja ever since we moved to CA and Mark has been going for 20+ years. One of our favorite places is Punta Chivato. An Italian bought it about 8 years ago and renamed it Posada del las Flores. We fly in so I don't know how long the drive from the border it is, but figure a loong time. We stayed in one of the new suites. Very nice. It was chilly and windy but we had the whole place to ourselves.

I am a linen junkie

OK, in reality, I am a linen whore. I love bedding. Put me in the housewares department and follow me around with a mop to catch the drool. Is this an illness? It used to be towels but bed linen is so much funner, what with the colors, thread-counts...

I was in an all-white phase for a while but I am in flux.
The last sheet set I bought was from Tuesday Morning. Discount mania. I have gotten some great bargains there from candles and rugs to stationery and of course sheets. But I digress. The last set I bought was 1000 thread-count for the low price of...
wait for it... $69.99 . The interesting part was the celebrity sighting: Zooey Deschanel. Who knew she was a fellow linen lover?
I liked her in Elf. Not the best movie though. She was funny in Weeds too. Anyhoo, she was in awe of the selection that day. It was unusually chock full of sheets and duvets.
I really wanted some Italian sets but I still have a hard time spending more than $100 on sheets. Don't get me wrong, I will but I think at least twice about it.

The last spendy duvet cover I bought was Kate Spade. I do wonder if I would have spent that much if it weren't a "brand name". Probably. I will post a pic when I out it on the bed again.

I change the "ensemble" every 2 weeks or so. More often if I am bored.
